Purchasing Specialist

Salumanus Sp. z.o.o — we are a Polish IT company from Krakow and we have been operating on the market for 20 years! Our team is made up of high-tech enthusiasts, people who are open to the world and have interesting interests. Among the engineers we have enthusiasts of electronics, automation and fiber technologies who deal with devices and systems for data transmission. Our equipment and solutions are sold by a sales team operating from Krakow, Warsaw and Wroclaw. Currently, for the team of engineers in Krakow we are looking for a person for the position:

Your responsibilities
  • Maintaining regular contact with foreign suppliers
  • Negotiating prices, product requirements and lead time
  • Evaluating products according to key technological criteria
  • Issuing purchase orders on a regular basis
  • Monitoring stock levels and value
  • Analysing product prices and competitive benchmarks
Våra krav
  • University degree in business, economics or other related fields
  • Practical knowledge of ERP systems
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel (nice to know: macros for pivot tables)
  • A minimum of 2 years purchasing experience
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to read and review product specifications
  • Able to multitask in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Able to learn quickly and be open-minded
  • High interpersonal skills
  • Fluent Polish, English min B1+
  • Driving license
  • IT network knowledge - nice to have

Technical Support and Service Engineer


Technical Support and Service Engineer The Department of Optical Modules will be responsible for the diagnosis and efficient solution of problems related to optical modules in our customers and their selection as support to the sales department.

Our equipment and solutions are sold by a sales team operating from Krakow, Warsaw and Wroclaw. Currently, for the team of engineers in Krakow we are looking for a person for the position:

Responsibilities
  • Analysis of service requests from customers in the field of operation and selection of the correct compatibility of optical modules
  • Solving customer technical problems
  • Implementation of corrective actions to optimize the coding of optical modules
  • Testing of modules for complaint and service requests
  • Technical support of current production in the warehouse for optical module coding
  • Substantive support of the Sales Department in the proper selection of the solution and building new compatibility of optical modules for the customer's needs.
Requirements
  • Education: technical field (telecommunications, photonics, computer science, physics, etc.)
  • Experience of at least 2 years in the positions of Service Engineer, Product Support Engineer, Technical Support, Maintenance Specialist or related
  • Ability to work with technical documentation
  • Experience in the operation of measuring equipment
  • Basic knowledge of computer networks (IP addressing, network mask, layered network model, basic network protocols)
  • Ability to think analytically, logically and be open to learning new technologies
  • Flexibility for out-of-hours phone calls (customer support)
  • Ability to work with the client, under time pressure
  • Skills of good work organization: self-discipline, punctuality
  • Availability regarding delegation to the client (1-2 days delegations/ 2-3 times a month)
  • Driving licence category B (active driver)
  • Proficiency in English at the level of min. B2 (ability to read technical documentation)
