Access to the Internet in public spaces is no longer a surprise or a great challenge today. Currently, we use access to the global computer network in places of entertainment, public utility, restaurants or means of communication. A separate group is made up of schools, colleges and campuses.

We have many options for providing access to the network, starting with various variants of wired access, through mobile network technology, and ending with the very popular Wi-Fi technology. The latter has been massively popularized by many devices that we use in our daily activities, in particular by the ubiquitous smartphones.

Often we do not even think that it is thanks to many devices that are invisible to us when we press the icon on the display that we can say: “I have the Internet.”

See specification: WL8200-I2 (R2)

Focusing on Wi-Fi technology, the closest device that is the gateway to the worldwide network is an access point, called in English an access point. Sometimes we don't even know where the access point is. Sometimes we put it in such a place so that it simply does not interfere (which can adversely affect the propagation of the radio signal), and sometimes we want it not to be visible, but we consciously take care of the best possible propagation of the signal. How to reconcile it when the best place to place it is the ceiling or a relatively high wall, so that access is not obscured by obstacles such as: furniture or wardrobes?

There's a way to do it.

In order to integrate the device into the surrounding environment, we allow our customers to order access points in several additional color variants (including black, red, green, blue). Thanks to the use of modern technologies, the enclosures of DCN access points - which, like most devices on the market, are only available in a light color - are covered with a properly selected color coating. Devices prepared in this way do not affect the aesthetics of the premises (e.g. in museums, palace interiors, etc.), where they are also increasingly installed.

An example of such an implementation is the Wi-Fi network project in Orientarium in Łódź, realized for one of our clients, as part of which we provided access points in black. In the opinion of our customer, as well as users, the devices fit perfectly into the decor of the premises, becoming almost invisible, and at the same time provided reliable access to the Wi-Fi network.

Difficult times require creative solutions and above-average commitment from both the solution provider and the customer.

At Salumanus we work continuously supporting our Partners by helping them to build modern ICT networks.
