For a noble cause

13/4/2018

On Friday, April 13, 2018 in Zawoa, at the foot of Babia Góra, we organized a charity field event, the purpose of which was to raise money for the rehabilitation and treatment of Pawełek, the son of one of our Partners. The members of the Salumanus team together with the Partners who joined the action covered a distance of six or nine kilometers to the top of Mosorny Groń and thus expressed their solidarity with Paweł and his family and the belief that one day he too will be able to move on his own. Thanks to this action, we raised the amount of PLN 4500, which we donated to the foundation “Zdąż z Pomoc” in favor of Paweł — the trustee of the foundation. You can find out more about Paul and his illness HERE.

The 13th on Friday may be unlucky for some, but not for us! The oncoming storm passed sideways, there was almost no rain, and at the moment of takeoff the sun looked out and accompanied us until the end of the day. The organizers put everything on the last patch cord, and all the people who appeared at the start made it to the finish line in good shape. And the challenge was really not small - the overhang was 500 meters over a distance of 6 kilometers! Each participant received a dedicated T-shirt and a professionally made starting number, and at the end a commemorative medal.

And here are our winners:

Route 6km

  • 1st place — Mrs. Kinga (guest) — 44:45.36
